Regional Manager, U.S. Small Business Administration

Mary Hernandez is the Regional Manager for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) International Trade Programs in Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Based out of the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Miami, Mary’s primary focus is to recruit and train lenders on the unique features of the SBA’s export loan programs. In turn, participating lenders provide the working capital needed by small businesses to establish or expand their international markets, allowing them to grow their companies and create jobs.

Mary also works closely with other federal, state and local agencies to ensure seamless service to U.S. exporters. This well-established referral network has enabled Mary and her partners to deliver a broad range of programs to U.S. exporters including international marketing, credit insurance and export financing.

During her 19-year career with SBA, Mary has worked with its Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs in Washington, DC, as well as, its National Outreach Office based in Los Angeles, California.
